No but slaves are the reason for the wealth.
Not really. They were more like a symbol of wealth and cheap manual labor.
Rich provinces had tons of slaves but a ton of slaves didn't make a province rich.
No but slaves are the reason for the wealth.
Do you think thats the only problem people have with that? No, there are many many things that people dont want in the game, but would want it changed/made better, instead they are telling us things that people dont want at least you can check on first page how many people clicked on 'respectfully disagree' does that mean nothing? should not creators paradox think of why people dont like it instead telling people OHHH IF U DONT LIKE IT DONT BUY IT' They dont want people's facts or what they want, they do what they want
Why instead listening to suggestions they tell us not to buy the game ? Because they dont care what we want (those) who dont like what they are putting in the game, rather than making majority happy, or do they want 50% review on steam?
There are many people who gave REALLY good suggestions and they wont be implemented in the game, all we are told is (we have our reasons) well the people like me dont know WHAT are you reasons.
That's not a lot of types of buildings...
Roads are in the game but they are built by armies and thats about what I know about roadsI am hoping for some additional building type like strategic that includes stuff like roads, harbors, maybe aqueducts or university.
Provincial Improvement: Invest in buildings, roads and defences to make your kingdom stronger and richer.

Aqueducts are kind of represented by the civilization value which increase population growth which also allow you to keep a larger population as the larger population a city have the more negative the growth gets.
Yes it is a tradition that allow road building, however we have to wait and see how road building will actually work. I suspect that you may be able to unlock it if you don't start with it which I assume Rome do.I thought he wrote that building roads is a special ability of Roman legions, but I could of course misremember![]()

I really don't get what you are trying to say here. Are suggesting that slaves replacing free men as labour within agriculture wasn't an issue in the Roman republic? Or is your point that not every culture/nation/whatever relied on slaves to work in fields, mines etc? I'm sure there are plenty of examples where slaves were less significant for the economy than it was in Rome and Sparta, but unless Paradox were to make unique economic systems for various tags (not gonna happen) I think it makes sense to abstract slaves to generate money. Having the aristocracy provide everything of value except manpower wouldn't make very good gameplay.Regarding myself the basis for money was agriculture, "industry" and trade. I can't understand why money comes from slavery. Slaves were just a "good" like cattle.
Hey Johan do those dislikes mean anything to you? I mean people dont like something about it, are you gonna do something about it? Or are you gonna tell us NOT to buy the game, Just tell us you dont like our opinions that you dont care.

How about the fact that their best selling game, their breakthrough, is the one with no mana? ck2.2. The people on the forums don't represent 'the customers' as whole.

I would dare say that the paradox forums if anything are less harsh than the general opinion.
Its our most succesful game ever though.

It may be a bigger seller but Ck2 is what allowed them to grow as a studio. And Stellaris is less mana based than eu4 at the very least. And let's face it the weakest parts of stellaris are the mana associated mechanics. Especially unity and traditions which is pretty much a civ5 clone mechanic.Stellaris have been said to be their biggest success.

It sounds to me you dont care that people dislike it, even though there is a big number of people who dont like it. You just wanna make a game that suits you, the others (DONT HAVE TO BUY IT) Thats not how you should make a game but make a compromise to make majority happy![]()
Eh... ck2 wasn't a bigger effort than any of the preceding games. Just a bigger success. And quite frankly what did precede ck2? As I recall a lot of games which weren't particularly successful. And what games allowed them to afford CKII to begin with![]()
Im pretty sure both Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis series was quite successful years before CKII.Eh... ck2 wasn't a bigger effort than any of the preceding games. Just a bigger success. And quite frankly what did precede ck2? As I recall a lot of games which weren't particularly successful.
Not nearly on the same scale.Im pretty sure both Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis series was quite successful years before CKII.
