The most basic of ambitions is one that all characters will adopt after birth, that to grow up
I think it will be more realistic for characters to adopt the most basic ambition between 4 and 7 years old.

If the gods are playing a significant role in day to day life of the pop, I hope the devs consider adding modifiers or traits such as: "Touched by the gods", "Oracle", "Fortune teller", "Possessed by a demon", " The chosen one" etc.
