I love this kind of statements :)

Now do it again and tell us what is wrong and please give the sources that confirm this. And be aware that sources from this era are often not very reliable and verifiable. A lot of people hate the reality of history because it does not confirm their romantic ideas of how it was.

I am sure that Paradox would love it if you give them access to more reliable historical information that they can implement in the first patch.
Look at my signature. I've posted archeological material quite some time ago.

So... can we mod these rules?

Subject types are very moddable, you can mix pick and choose whatever specific rules you want from the existing ones, but these three restrictions you cannot mod away.
They are basically what constitutes a subject in the game, rather than some other relationship.

That's the best dev diary yet. It appears there are some ideas on revolts from CK2 and subject types are somewhat similar to EU4 but with more flavor and more variety. This was great to read.

You can not have Tribal vassals if you are a tribe so that can not happen.
The overlord must not be Tribal = overlord don't have to be Tribal. Overlord can or not be tribal. In situation, when overlord cannot be Tribal should be "cannot", "can't" or "must be not" etc.

Or I wrong read this in english

I hope taking vassals in war isnt as heavy restricted as in EU4, where you can only make vassals when their a just a couple of provinces size. So we can indeed make in one war all numidia vassal and stuff like that that happened historically.

The overlord must not be Tribal = overlord don't have to be Tribal. Overlord can or not be tribal. In situation, when overlord cannot be Tribal should be "cannot", "can't" or "must be not" etc.

Or I wrong read this in english

"The overlord must not be tribal' means the same thing as 'the overlord can not be tribal'. What you might be thinking of is a phrase like 'the overlord need not be tribal', or something of the form 'the overlord [negation]-{must be tribal}'. The 'not' in Trin's sentence negates the ability to be tribal, not the requirement to be tribal.

'Must' and 'can' mean different things (required that, and permitted that respectively), but 'must not' and 'can not' mean the same thing which is really is very strange, but that's English for you. 'Must not' means 'it is required that you not do [thing]', 'can not' means 'it's not permitted that you do [thing]'.

Is the time to integrate a subject scaled on some variable? Territory size? Pop size?
Yes it take time to integrate a subject.
Integration
In time the overlord may want to directly integrate a subject. This requires relations at over 190 and will after a long period turn the entire subject country into directly owned territory by the overlord. Not all Subject Types can be integrated however. Some, like the tributary, are too loosely aligned with the overlord for such a thing to even be possible.

Is there any plan to add a "Union" mapmode toggle, where a subject gains the same colouring (in the political mapmode) as the overlord? I find this option very useful in Stellaris to better gauge at a glance who is subject to whom, and how powerful a country with many subjects really is.
