- The decision to leave three of the Diadochi to the AI seems a bit strange.
Agreed. Alas, no Seleucids to root for. I might just take my pick of Armenia or Bactria instead.

... oh, and of course, Roma invicta!

Folks, I can assure you all of one thing- the Vandals will respect the properties of all their friends and neighbors, and never once shall we ravage any public buildings in lands we may be compelled to occupy in the course of unrest. This is not what being a Vandal is about, and by all the spirits above and below, Vandals shall never be associated with such wanton destruction.

Random thoughts:
- Blondie really have a love for East Africa.

I guess I have type-casted myself? Horn of Africa-adjacent nations have interesting starts in many games!

The Tribal Kingdom of Dubonnia
Tribal Chief Litavis Caracta
Rightful Heir to Pritania, Unifier of Tribes, Queen of Daggers:
Litavis was raised a warrior, and she started to lead her people at the ripe age of 16, earning the respect of her fellow barbarians by slitting the throats of rival tribeal leaders at night, earning her the nickname 'Queen of Daggers'. Arbitrary and jealous in nature, she is determined to reach her goal and unite all of Pritania under her rule.

She extends a warm welcome to her fellow Druidic rulers and has her eyes set on Rome: The seat of corruption and misery, which she shall put the Romans out of. She despises all those pompous fools living lavishly and wasting their lives away. Litavis intends to give purpose to the people following her, provide for her people and make sure everyone gets to live a fair life under her rule - tough, but fair.

Looking interesting.

Those Mauryans are going to be a major roadblock with so few players in the theater, and they’ll only be scarier after an Seleucids gives them the Eastern Satrapies.

Have a feeling that unless they are quickly vanquished, they might become the “ai Ottomans” of this game, with players allying with them for major power boosts. Alternatively, this position could fall to Phrygia or the Seleucids depending on how early wars go.

Also a decent number of players next to larger and more powerful neighbours like Boi and Epirus. Wonder if they will be able to ally the regional hegemony or find allies to deter any early player slaying.

Ceebie appears to be the smallest player, with his nation having only 5 pops and 2 cities, let's see what happens with that
I would not worry too much because you get a healthy base amount of tax and Manpower income. My opening move with low pop nations would probably be to turn them into Citizens as you research will completely go crazy with 100% Citizens ratio, however as a Tribal nation that is maybe not as great move due to low Citizen happiness.

Anyway the difference between starting with 5 or 15 pops is not great as the pops are dwarfed by the base income.

Do we know the base manpower ?
In the Saxony stream it was 70 per month which is about 8400 in 10 year and the cap is 10 years Worth of Manpower or something like that. A freemen pop give about 3 Manpower if at 100% happiness and a tribesmen give about 1 Manpower if at 100% happiness.

These numbers however may change due to balancing.

Too soon my friend was taken from me, in the time since his death the world that he created has fractured and those he trusted have turned on each other.

The question now, is what path lays ahead for me and those that would follow me?

Egypt, a great and proud nation with traditions going back thousands of years is the land that I rule over. I must decide whether to carry on the legacy of my friend, Alexander, or strike forward in new ways. The empire could be reforged, the other Diadochi still lay claim to it, but none are strong alone and few are willing to support each other.

For the next few years, we will consolidate our holdings, there are minor nations that have thought themselves free who should be forced back in line and there is the menace to our north that must be dealt with eventually, regardless of what ambition we choose.

I am proud of my heritage, a son of Macedon, a childhood friend of Alexander and a great leader, but maybe now I should embrace the culture and people of the lands I rule...

For now though, we shall work on a monument to our shared past, a great lighthouse that shall be a beacon for the city of Alexandria.
