Looking at this setup, I'm now expecting something akin to the actual rise of Rome unfolding during the game - it'll become a vast empire, buy all the Egyptian grain for pennies and the threat of war, grow incessantly corrupt and mad with power - and then quickly collapse due to Saxon and other barbarian raiders.

Granted, I only know who half of these nations are. I suspect Imperator Rome will be as educational for me as EU4 and CK2 has been, when it comes to such things.

It's Kaiser Johan as a Caesar with probably the most fleshed out country. He'll be fine.

Random thoughts:
- Someone was unusually cruel to force Johan to replay Saxony
- The French Paradox leads the resistance with small villages from Armorica.
- To no one's surprise both Boi nations are taken.
- Sirrebirre goes for huge tracts of land with Oppaidania.
- Blondie really have a love for East Africa.
- It's strange seeing Steacy in Ceylon, after being used to her cosplaying barbarians.
- The decision to leave three of the Diadochi to the AI seems a bit strange.
- There sure seems to be a bias toward having a strong Rome in this dev clash, understandable but still a bit disappointing.

I called you out on being incorrect regarding said history, which is unusually poignant in this case due to a certain fantasy setup in a certain region of the map.

Man, my ancient history knowledge is non existent outside of the big boys. Looking at that player list full of nations ive never even heard of must be how the average American feels looking at a globe in 2019. Map is super useful, good job.
