please add some marble look to the UI or different colour like mud for lower civ nations.
Also i think this is good development! IR should become prdx sandbox for developing, so here my advise ditch pop system as this only works well in stellaris.
Start fleshing out a true population system, you can port it later to a new victoria, where single population entities also are more welcome than the single summarised one pop.
In terms of economy:
- there must be more regional specialiations available, also nation focuses
- production should be shown in tonnes
- facilities like mining should be able to expanded
- instead of simply blocking goods, taxation alteration should come into play, this to protect home protection, i see here come a new
sandbox feature to develop also useful for a new victoria; eg. pricing of goods
In trems of warfare:
- it should be more cohort based as well as quality differences noticeable, ck3 made a good approach here
instead of knights i would opt for weapon production / equipment production (again feature for Vic)
- when marching trough any terrain i would like to see a randomised dice hitting troops in terms of attrition, so when travelling through mountains maybe 7 legionarries die, because of fallng from cliff.
- im opposed as in above point especially for barbarian tribes of fielding units with rounded numbers, this should only be for roman armies
- the fighting system is best revamped by giving a sheet with tickboxes about attack preferences: eg. archer volley first, than peasants, than more expensive troops incl. flanking of horses (in case it is automatic, the rank of the general is more deciding as he is naturally able to pick a better suitable terrain and or tactics than his foe)
- fortifications are ok in CK3, however this can be done more granular, as such also wall building must be possible like roads, a wall should be possible as long as you pay for it, like the chinese wall. Incl. option of border forts which eg. can do following give message before troops are able to enter province it will take 10 days of delay and that much casualties by neutralising border forts and or patrols, or ignor patrols and take border fort only is: 5days delay and disrupted supply lines..
the thing with these games is prdx does not show like total war, so you have to imagine, so prdx must flesh out the stuff to the max, so i can imagine and its true sandbox
only this path, im confident, if a serious push is made, also historical accuracy to the fullest, that prdx, can turn this game around.
As i foresee into the future no upgrade or IR2, as the engine and graphics look good (except for UI design).
