I am currently on my second game and are on the path that saw me allied with the Tiersmen, currently trying to recruit the Unbroken to my side. By going to the Duskwatch Fort. Commander had me help set up defenses and then search for a missing Unbroken patrol, found them to be killed by Disfavored, killed them and the quest had me go back in the fort to check on the Disfavored prisoner inside.

A group of Disfavored seem to have gotten in and so I went to attack them, however 1 'Oath Bound' enemy appears to be immortal as he has been on 'Near Death' for the last ten minutes as I do damage but he won't keel over. When running away and he follows the Unbroken soldiers present do not react or respond at all to the presence of this immortal enemy and keep walking about (though there appears to be disfavored corpses around the commander that spawned after I found the missing patrol probably).

Reloading the game does not appear to be of any help.

Hi @Sarzum !
I'm sorry that this Oath-Bound soldier is giving you trouble by refusing to die. Thanks for providing a save file! We're using it to try to resolve this issue for a future patch.

In the meantime, we can try some troubleshooting: the expected sequence of events here is that when the Oath-Bound NPC in question reaches low health, he "surrenders" instead of dying. Then, after all of the other enemies are killed, he has a brief conversation with you and then, finally, dies. It looks like what you're experiencing has something to do with him not properly entering or staying in that "Surrendered" state, but not going back into the usual "can be killed" state :/
In the past, we've seen issues similar to this happen when combat encounters with Surrendered NPCs end in unexpected ways, such as having allied NPCs kill the enemies instead of the party, or by moving far away and drawing the other enemies away from the Surrendered unit. Is there a chance that anything like that is happening in your fight? If so, you might be able to progress past this point while we're working on a proper fix by making sure that, once you see this unit Surrender, you stick around in his area until all his allies are defeated.

If that doesn't work, could you provide some more details about what's happening in the fight here? Are you ever seeing the Oath-Bound Surrender (he should drop to his knees) or is he just immediately entering his immortal state?

Thanks!
-Taylor

Thanks for reply @Obsidian_Taylor

I am afraid nothing like what you described is happening, in fact the entire Unbroken camp acts like as if it is not under attack after I deal with the Disfavored who killed the late/missing patrol I was asked to find outside the fort. As you can see in the screenshot I walked away from where the fight was actually happening (which was near the disfavored prisoner they have) and the NPCs just ignore it and keep standing around like that and don't act as if there is a enemy among them. And at first I was pretty much for several minutes trying to kill him at the spot I encountered this immortal and his unit and it seems there are no other enemies present besides this single immortal.

As for the fight itself, well as I stated, after killing the disfavored outside the, which triggers a short conversation that they are there to rescue the prisoner, returning to the fort, the unbroken at the gate dont react as if there is a enemy presence. Then when I proceed to the area where the prisoner is, the group with this Oath Bound is present and a fight ensues without a conversation they are pretty much hostile right off the bat. And he does not drop to his knees I can get him to near death state and then he simply will keep on fighting, so pretty much immortal from the start from my experiences.

And it seems the latest patch has fixed it, that Oath Bound now indeed goes down on their knees when defeated and when all other combatants are dealt with a conversation is triggered and the next part of the quest chains resumes as normal.

Ok - I had an idea and just got it to work properly. I suspect is may have something to do with Eb's ability Terratus' Embrace. The prior two times the Oathbound went immortal I used it. Both times Eb was paralyzed during the duration of the spell. Note that it does damage on a clock, and the trigger might be overidden by the damage. Not sure if that is what did it, but trying the fight without using the ability resulted in a successful conclusion.
