Alright, this is my first try at the game so bear with me.

So it's early 1939 now and I've annexed all the Chinese countries as Japan. However, since I used Manchurian forces as as well, a few of the provinces were counted as their territory and not mine. I tried demanding the territory but that didn't work. So now, unless I'm mistaken I'll have to take it over via war, and while I'm at that I figure I'd just annex the whole nation as well. Why? Because I'm a greedy bastard and want it all for myself.

Unfortunately, they have granted military access so I can't do that. I revoked access for them and tried releasing them as a puppet to see if that would work. I didn't.

I still have military control over them and have forces in their provinces, how am I able to get around this?

The only way that I know is to move your troops out of their provinces, then cancel military access, Then you would Release them from being your puppet. Then you would DoW and annex.

Well, when I was just going at war one nation after the other it got pretty bad. I once had two Partisan revolts in the same hour. It became a pretty common event but never more than a nuisance that one or two units couldn't handle.

It's now 1942 and after a little tussle with Portugal the only territory in China I don't own now is Hong Kong! Yay!

Mind you I must have it on the easiest difficulty because the war hasn't actually happened yet. It must be like the easiest difficulty on Civ III where the AI are total pansies and don't do anything :p
