I'm interested in Vicky 2

I've never played the first 1, but reading through the wiki it looks much more complicated than most other Paradox games, would it be beneficial to learn to play Vicky 1 before 2 comes out or would I stand to pick up some bad habits from 1 that might be hard to break in 2.

Also, this may be a question for the Vicky 1 forum, but I thought I would lump it in with this post, is there any really good "first game" or tutorial AARs that would help a person learn Vicky 1somewhat quickly?(as quickly as one could learn a Paradox game anyway.)

well, the latest dev video showed off the tutorial feature and it has three chapters, basic, intermediate and advanced and covers all aspects of the game. you should be fine

An other fact to take in consideration, Vicky was very complicated when Vicky 2 should be much more user friendly with what was saw until now in DDs and videos...

You could try Vicky 1 but if you don't like it it might prevent you from buying Vicky 2, which should be much more easier to play while still being more realistic and complete...

And of course you could still LOVE Viky 1+ Revolution and then also love Vicky 2 in 42 days

My new laptop came with Victoria 2.
Victoria 2 is much more user friendly then Victoria 1.
I don't like that.

I loved vicky it is one of the best games ever made ... go get it you will have a couple weeks to play ot before Vicky 2 comes out after all

I bought V:Complete while it was cheap and it's very fun, but i think you should wait. You will use much more time on V2 if you dont buy V1 i think.

I think Vicky 2 will be like HOI3 was to HOI2. Vicky was a bit clunky. There was so much micromanagement and lots of clicking. HOI3 lost a lot of good features from HOI2 (like viewing the political ministers of other countries) and I think again that might be similar.
