No matter how many connections and garbage related buildings I place, it still backs up.
Im having issues with the garbage

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
Such issues are mostly down to city design. You might post some screenshots of your city here with the garbage system highlighted, and also one showing the traffic ; bad traffic will prevent the trucks getting to the garbage efficiently.
Its probably down to city design and traffic
use land fills and recyc for locallity
Then get a waste transfer centre and a bank of incinerators.
