I'm confused help me out.

Just bought europa universalis III from steam today

and I can't seem to register it here because it says invalid CD-key.

What should I do, I did buy it but cd key steam provided me with seems to not work.


Edit: profanity and also I bought EU3:complete. I don't know what that is but it still doesn't work.

just reading that some other people can't register also.

I also have the same problem with MB:with fire and sword I bought together.

first of all the product code is too short and second of all it also doesn't work... invalid cd-key.

There should be advice in the stickied threads dealing with registering games. If that doesn't help, contact Steam. If that still doesn't help, contact an administrator for PI.

What exact games did you buy? Eu3 (the base, original game) and Eu3:Complete ? If you have the latter you don't need the former.

If these are PC games there are no CD keys, only forum registration keys. They ought to work Here, if you put them in the field of the My Games tab above (each game version has its own field).

If you bought Mac versions then there are CD codes, but they are used to install the games, there will be separate forum registration keys.

Well even I'm not sure now. I was supposed to buy EU3:complete, and I got a receit in my mail confirming it's eu3:complete..... but steam shows me I have plain EU3 everywhere nothing about complete, and another thing is that my game Icon is In nomine!

And I can play the game well I just can't register this thing.

You have EU3:Complete, which is EU3 + NA + IN and correctly shows up as IN. Normally you'd just register Eu3:Complete in that field in My Games above, but I believe Steam do it a bit differently and supply you with codes for EU3, NA and IN - how many keys do you have? BTW do not post your actual keys here!

And are they really labeled as "CD keys"? If so , do you have the PC or Mac version of the game?

OK, I didn't realise Steam use the term "CD Key" for what is actually a forum registration code. And it is NOT needed to "enter this key after the game has launched".

But you ought to be able to enter that key in the My Games tab above, either in the EU3 or EU3:Complete fields. Have you tried both those?
