So I'm in the main quest and have reached Ashe's tent. As the conversation between the two archons continues, I noticed that the Voices of Nerat were talking through their scepter at me. I thought it was fun and decided to play along. When he asked me to listen, I listened. When he asked me to cough, I did to show I as listening. However, despite playing along with everything he asked, the conversation ends with him saying that I've been ignoring him. "The more you ignore us..."
What on earth is he talking about? I've been following everything he's said up to that point. I haven't ignored a single word. I did a bit of experimentation and found out that he says this same thing earlier in the conversation (meaning he says it twice) if you say nothing until directly asked to speak. Am I missing something or are the Voices just making things up?

He (or them¿?) usually just invent things... is a paranoid monster with countless different voices inside his head and is not weird that if you just let him talk without interruptions he lose control and other voices come out and start talking (this is kind of important near the end of the 1° act )

This. If you side with the disfavoured or take the neutral route in dialogue during the tent scenes he regards you as having ignored his counsel/obvious superiority. If you are blatantly in favour of the chorus, both during the conquest and in conversation with Ashe and Nerat, he positively glows (figuratively and physically, ofcourse)
