I just downloaded IGC 2.3 last night, and WOW. Needless to say, I'm a little tired at work this morning!

This is probably a pretty weak question, but I'd prefer to find out BEFORE I invest several hours of my life into a game:

Are Gold Shield countries still unannexable with the patch?

To be honest, I'm asking because while I'm playing a Minor, I'd like to slow down the Majors by making a few key Minors "Playable" (say, Eire, Brittany, Incas, Aztecs, maybe a couple more). If these countries are Gold Shield & unannexable, The Big Boys can still be Heavy Hitters without totally marching over a road of bones...

Sure, it's "Ahistorical" at best & maybe "Cheating" at worst, but it's my game, damn it!:D

You're right, the majors cannot be annexed, so your scheme will work.

Well I think that was a great idea on how you can assure there will be balance in the game and that there will be no uber-nations that swallow all the little ones :)

Edit: Making some key minors majors would instead promote that the games runs even more historical... if thats what you want :)
