If you were to do sunset invasion 2.0 I have one addition to it.

Sunset Invasion was a cool DLC. If you do add it again maybe have the south American empire show up sometime after the aztecs do. The event chain from ck2 had it so there was news of war breaking out between the two. But nothing ever happened as a result. It would be cool if a south American invasion fleet showed up during this time.

This next part is CRUCIAL. Incan royal family all had elongated skulls. Skeletal remains, accounts, depictions, unfortunately no living example survived they disappeared when europeans showed up. So this new invasion fleet would have leadership positions specifically staffed by these elongated skull lads. Have that as an inheritable trait. What's the harm? It's a fictious alternate history scenario anyway. With your existing eugenics game. Bingo bango you got a winning DLC. Old timers, newcomers, building a unique tradition for this series.

I know you dudes have taken my suggestions in the past. Maybe not you guys but definitely the stellaris team and the addition of the post-apocalyptic civic trait. I made that mod first! You guys rock whatever you end up doing.

It's not inheritable, because it's artificial:

They didn't "disappear," the cultural practices that caused people to form skulls into those shapes were wiped out. There's no mystery, and pretending there is one is misleading in the extreme.

As for "what's the harm," the popularity of idiocy like "Ancient Aliens" is proof enough. Sunset Invasion was a fun, if absurd, DLC that at least played within a certain wheelhouse, explicitly flipping the script on a historical scenario.

Look, i have no intention to argue with you. Believe its artificial i dont care. Believe that somehow the same people that "practiced" this also somehow never met any europeans and that totally makes sense to you, cool have fun. But in the same breath of calling it absurd you demand realism from an alternate reality scenario. What a facepalm. You just sound like a hopelessly desperate skeptic who's panic at contradictory information is now ruining fun. I can provide you all the evidence, all the genomic testing that reveals they are indeed a subspecies of humans. But that wasnt the point of this thread. Thanks for derailing it buddy.

PS the wikipedia article conflates cranial deformation that was practiced on every continent with the peruvian skulls whos cranial plates and capacity are unlike any of the instances of tribes with that practice. In fact theres no evidence Incans practiced it. And in fact there are toddler skeletons whos skulls have similar greater cranial capacity and they died before their soft skull could be gradually re arranged. Aka, born that way.
