If you tell a group of ships to leave port while repairing, it defaults to never repair, why?

It doesn't even tell you anywhere. It just changes the repair priority without saying anything about it. moving a group of ships to another port doesn't mean I want it to never repair!? I have to baby sit this and micro this one button, if i want to use my navy as effectively (while keeping enough fuel for my air and land army).

i just lost 75% of my fleet as britain due to this and now i need to restart what was a already late game british empire achievement run.

personally the naval system needs a huge QOL update. The ui and the operation of it is so badly designed, it results in making mistakes where you most definitely wouldnt or at least shouldnt.

I’m kind of thankful it does that, because otherwise the fleet will just go back to port again to finish repairs when it reaches the destination/mission area you’ve assigned it after interrupting the original repair. I sometimes will duck in to repair a few % while waiting for spotters to spot something worthwhile, kind of like topping off, which isn’t very realistic but it works pretty well towards preserving your fleet strength. Yes it’s a lot of micro but as a small naval power it’s kind of necessary lest the HMS doom stack roll down your windows while your not looking.

But to your point it should be more clear, especially if your just moving the fleet to a location with more dockyards to be more efficient (you’ll have to hit repair now again once the fleet arrives).
