I didnt even know HoiIV was on pre order until i got home from work, the second i saw it on the steam page i purchased the FM edition

Think about it this way: You spend 10+€ to watch 2 hour movie. That is 5€ a hour. If you spend 90€ into HOI4 and only play 90 hours of it, it still is better value than movies. Only if you play less than 18 hours movies are worth more. Of course movies are still different so you still would want to go to movies, but since you are talking about justification of spending money, my point is valid.

I've not spent €10 on a movie in a long, long time. And yes, games are great value for money and all that but €90 is still a lot of money for me right now. I may end up spending that amount of money spread out over the years of playing the game anyway but I can't justify spending €90 to something I never put my hands on. If you can, that's great for you and for paradox. But I can't

I wasn't that hyped about stellaris so I bought the cheap version off it already got 57 hours in it but that will be nothing compared to what I will invest into HOI4 so I bought the field marshal edition .

Field Marshal because I recently decided to stop playing CSGO (finally ...) and sold all my Skins ( did i really spent 100€ for skins?!?! #wastemymoney). I think thats a good trade-off

I already paid $10 extra to get the spiders in Stellaris, so I HAD to purchase the most expensive version of HOI IV

nope i buy the extra's because i want automatic windows fancy radio and gps people choose what to buy why capitalism is awesome we get choices in life in where to spend our money.

I stopped at Colonel. I didn't want to invest in the expansions until I knew I liked the game and without knowing anything about the expansions other then they'll exist someday.
