Haven't decided yet, but it'll be either cadet or FM...the only bonus that interests me is the prepaid expansions, so it depends how the bank balance is looking and if I think it's worth the discount (I'm leaning to 'no', but there is no rush to decide).
Never have had much interest in 'content packs' as I never play with sprites, or music, so I mightn't even pre order at all (especially as I think paradox games tend to be buggy at first release and as a result are best left until after the first patch or two are out).
Edit...will be getting cadet...the only additional content that interests me is the expansions, and that's $49.99 value that I'd get from paying $50 more....

Colonel, dont have money for FM and if those 2 DLCs will be around 50€ it is not so much better choice(FM+40€ vs colonel) and I will have money in that time to buy dlc, cuz u know u r paid every month in work
Field Marshal, in support of PDS. Pocket change for the hours of entertainment PDS titles bring compared to virtually any other games out there.
D-Day - My "physical copy" syndrome is never going to end - I really like to collect these boxes ^^

I'm surprised by how many people got Field Marshal instead of Colonel. Colonel has exclusive DLC while the expansions can be bought later (and on sale) when you actually know what they include. $90 seems like a lot right after Stellaris.

I "endured" the stellaris release and saved my money for this, so Field Marshal is in the bag!

Somewhat disappointed though that my avatar isn't working. I select my my name up on top right, and when selecting avatars,
and then the button where you can select game avatars, there are none present.
No HOI 4 avatars are selectable and when I look at others who bought it, I can only see a white screen and a question mark.

I bought the cadet version. I can't justify spending €90 right now on a video game, and from my experience with ck2 and eu4 sprite packs I can barely see them on the campaign map 90% of the time. Maybe it's different in Hoi4, maybe it isn't. If it is, I'll buy them later probably. That is, if I don't disable the 3D models all together to save my poor computer.
Think about it this way: You spend 10+€ to watch 2 hour movie. That is 5€ a hour. If you spend 90€ into HOI4 and only play 90 hours of it, it still is better value than movies. Only if you play less than 18 hours movies are worth more. Of course movies are still different so you still would want to go to movies, but since you are talking about justification of spending money, my point is valid.

I've played 800 hours of Crusader Kings II, therefore I should be willing to have spent up to $800.

The "cadet" edition because it is expensive enough and i want to play the game - thats all.

Got Colonel. I've been waiting for long enough, I don't mind spending ten dollars extra to get some sweet tanks and better soundtrack.
I did consider Field Marshal, but decided the added value per dollar wasn't enough for me to really care. I dislike the season pass model, so it would've had to been a really generous offer for me to take it.

Am I more than likely going to buy the expansions when they come out? Yep so Field Marshall for me while I'm got the spare money, then I don't need to worry about finding cash when they do come out.
