If you could play NWAC with an Admiral from history...

I'm bored so I'm gonna ask a fun hypothetical question while I wait for April 10th. Ok here it goes: If you could go back and time and recruit an admiral to be on your team for NWAC who would it be and why?

My pick would be Togo Heihachiro and we'd play on the NATO side.

My reasons for the pick: He already beat the Russian navy once :laugh:

Besides the language barrier, the only other obstacle would be bringing Togo up to speed on naval warfare in 2030...yeah. But then the "Admiral Nelson of the East" and I win

Now that I think of it, I would also extend the hypothetical scenario to include pirates too, cause I think they would do the unexpected and that can be important in winning a strategy game.

That is a good choice. Togo was truly brilliant.

However, I'd pick the Korean admiral Yi Sun-sin, who beat the Japanese at least 23 times in naval battles, the last of which with 13 ships against 333 (!).

Togo famously agreed to be considered the equal of Nelson, though he stated he could not be compared to the naval genius of Yi. Nobody can.

Why:Because of his victory at The battle of Trafalgar, 33 of British ships Vs 41 Franco-Spanish ships; and because of his unorthodox tactics.

There was talk about a movie but that died off too. I can watch all the episodes in one go sometimes, love it.
