If you could change one small thing about EU4 what would it be?

Inspired by a recent message thought I could get some interesting results. Nothing too complex. And definitely nothing that would require a whole team to do.

Mine would be gove Byzantium back its cores that it had since the 1300s.

Change Catholic's -1 tolerance of heretics modifier for something positive.

Small huh? I'd like a better AI, but that's a massive task. But number 1 on my list by a long shot.

Something small? I would like religious ideas to be useful again. At the moment they are mostly just useful for the policies and in most cases I'd still not take it. I'd lower missionary maintenance cost by a lot in the religious ideas to make mass converting a viable alternative over just taking humanist instead.

You know you already can do that right?

Saddly scenarios are not update since long time ago, a great feature that has disappear.

On actual changes I am split between the implementation of the following modifiers:
(i) A modifier which multiplies the total (local + incoming) trade value of a node,
(ii) A modifier which affects the BORDER_DISTANCE_SCORE_IMPACT define.

But the most I would like to not change anything but just to have access to all the parts of AI code of EU4.

Change development so that it moves monarch points monthly. I think you should be able to develop with all 3 points at once to speed up institution embracement, but that you should have to choose to develop, and then accrue the points, rather than the other way around.

Change how works stability.
Make it go up or down slowly but not instantly like now.
That was another suggestion I could have made, and that I made elsewhere, but that would probably be harder to code and balance than we think. They would have to rebalance all the events and the meta about stability.

Hmmm. Perhaps: if you form a nation and you get the new ideas and ambitions event, you can actually see your potential new idea set before making your choice?

That and giving the option to keep your original color, because Oda red is so much better than Japanese red.

Change how the reformations works. Everytime I dont personally prevent it almost all of Germany becomes protestant/reformed and I have yet to see a single game where Bavaria, the actualy leader of the catholic league during the 30 year war, isnt one of the first nations to become protestant.

Bulgarias and Albanias national ideas. Ming actually collapsing and not being the most stable political unit to have ever existed in history. Colonizers actually converting culture and religion. Making colonizing Mexico more then rebel whack a mole.
