As the title says. Doubt they'll make it but out of curiosity what areas do you think EUIII with all expansions is still lacking? What would you love to see in a most likely never to be done new expansion?

For me it would be:

-Call to Arms
-Focus on Tribal nations to make them more fun to play
-More focus on diplomatic maneuvres

I would realy like to see an option in wich you can buy a provine from a country, like USA bought Alaska from russia, not only the option to sell but to buy too would be nice:)

Hmm... buying provinces... the costs would have to be tens of thousands.... opposed to the limit of 1000 when selling a province. Otherwise later in the game with a economic power you could easily buy tens of provinces buy minting for a year :p

[Edit : Falconnatic was quick, but I was answering to Gummi here]

But maybe the AI won't sell it for a cheap price, unless it's of little interest and/or has not the same culture/religion and is not a core.
(It must be doable to calculate an appropriate price concerning a province, regarding all these aspects. And the player could know just like for the peace treaties, if the other country is likely to accept his offer, or not)

Concerning the topic, I'd say there is a quite similar one asking us what we would like to see in the series' next installment.
I've said a lot of things there, so … go see what's been said over there, I guess! :D

Russia was the instigator of that sale. They also approached Britain, trying to get a better price.

--I would like to see more attention to areas outside Europe.
--bargaining system while sueing for peace -where both parties can trade provinces and allies will likely get better settlements.

I would like to see "distance modifier" in the cities, that makes them more revloter and have less tax income where they are away from the capital city. In this way, countries will not expand too much and also scattered.

j/k :p

-A possibility to create more HRE like systems (would model Japan much better, and could be useful with the Mongols or Chinese)
-family trees!
-cultural and religious minorities in provinces
-the old style naval combat back. It was broken in HTTT and doesn't seem to be in the line for patches.

Maybe next expansion could be content expansion, like Chankeen said: "--I would like to see more attention to areas outside Europe."

So expansion purely dealing with new events and decisions and such. It could even be a 'mod collection' made by Paradox. Which collects events and expansions from all mods and expands the world outside Europe, and some countries inside Europe too.

The game needs some way to better manage provincial decisions, and preferably automate or semi-automate some of the magistrate stuff.

Higher zoom-out.

Map face-lift.

Naval AI with no unlimited range (=unlimited exploration).

For any two of those four points above, I'd be willing to pay the standard paradox expansion price: 20 ducats.

Much of the stuff said here is great, but I have another thing for this thread...

Total War style conversion and not the stupid conversion thing right now. "Today we are all Muslims, tomorrow we are all orthodox christians... W00t?"

A number of random things:

- Decrease success chance for missionaries
- Make it more difficult to annex and convert heathens.
- it should be way more difficult to kill all natives in a province which is connected to other not colonialised/inhabited provinces.
- Introduce more climate zones, e.g. tropic, subtropic, moderate, subarctic and make those differences count.
- Increase the maintenance costs for navies dramatically.
-Give better incentive to colonialise or trade, access to luxury goods like spices, chinware, sugar, ivory early in game should give a massive boost to income and prestige.

* A better placement of the city in the province "Skåne"(The city is Lund but it is placed in the vicinity of Malmö)

Given that the capital city changes during time I can't see how this is a major priority. Why should the city be in a place to represent it's initial capital when that spot won't even be correct for all of the game (for the second half of the game the provincial capital of the Skåne province is in fact Karlskrona, a fact one can't argue with as it was way more important than both Lund or Malmö during the 18th century).

Also I can't see how city placement is a high priority even if they moved around when the name of the capital changes. After all that doesn't have any effect on gameplay ;)

- Introduce more climate zones, e.g. tropic, subtropic, moderate, subarctic and make those differences count.

I'd love to have a "month = " trigger which along with the the existing "region =" would make me to be able to make monsoon events, bad harvests that actually coincides with the harvest, and such. Winter is good and all but there are pretty important other weather related things that isn't covered by that...

I am pretty sure there IS a month trigger.

Just look at the Springtime event in dynastic.txt.

*suddenly realises how useful that would be to model weather.*

- POPS from Victoria
- HOI3 map.
- Ability to colonize other planets (would require at least twodeckers)
- Customizable units and ships
- Spore-like transition between Paradox games

- Dwarf Fortress' happy/unhappy thoughts system, along with mandates.
- Ability to play EU3 on Facebook, mobile phone, toaster
- Ability to port EU3 games into Majesty 2
