gimme asia.....

Asia(mainly China and India) were also the power cores! They have much more money, manpower and advance tech compares to rome. And they were really very strong. A war between Han Dynasty and Rome?
It will add much more excitment!

The links between Rome and China were on the level that both knew there was someone there on the other side of the world, but apart from mostly indirect trade ties they might as well not have existed to each other. Adding Asia to the game makes about as much sense as adding Americas to it. This is a game about Rome and Mediterranean world, not Civilization.

though taking the map upto the himalayas would be a good way of counter balancing the Selucids.

I'd certainly like to see it extended to have all of Persia and a part of India. Creating an eastern flank to Seleucids, as well as having all the territories that belonged to Alexander's Empire be in the game. Those lands were hardly unknown to Greeks and Romans, and would give some action to Seleucids and Parthians on the East, as well as in the West.

The other major area I'd like to see is more of coastal east Africa (Nubia/Axum) down to the Horn with the ability to put ships in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf, but the inland Arabian Peninsula impassable, much like Magna Terra. These areas were also known to the Greeks and Egyptians and directly traded with.

I wouldn't like to see China in a game. IMHO if they ever expand the map the most easternmost point in the game should be the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom.

Areas where I would love to see improvement are Greece, which could have few more provinces, Scythia also needs more steppe and I would love to see Kushites in the game.

What about adding all of Scandinavia, and Russia east to the Urals. And all of Africa.

Personally, I would like to see part of India, but no farther east (NO CHINA). A little more of Africa would also be nice (again not the whole of Africa). Also, I liked the suggestion of some more of Scandinavia.

As for the time line, I would like to see the game go back to Alexander, or more specifically, just after Alexander. Also, I would like the game to go a little farther further.
