In my play-through of the demo, One of the things I tried to do was to maximize my research potential. I quickly noticed that plurality's effect on RP generation is HUGE (5% RP increase per point of plurality, to a maximum of a 500(!!)% increase with full plurality). Because of this, the second technology I decided to research (after manifest des.. I mean Romanticism) was ideological thought. For those who didn't look at it, or who haven't played the demo yet, it is functionally identical to its namesake from vicy, except that all the socialist inventions can fire even while you're only liberal (albeit at a slower rate). America starts, like they did in vicky1, with the "conservative" 5 inventions fired (they show the invented indicator before you even research the tech), so, I thought, sweet, free 50% plurality.

Then, the odd stuff happened, not only did the 5 inventions that had "already fired" show up in the possible inventions list (albeit with a "0%" chance of firing) but they then proceeded to fire (again, not too fast, I think only 3 of them fired by the end of the time limit, but still). I suppose only getting 25% free plurality isn't the end of the world or anything, but it does strike me as an odd behavior.

I thought in Ricky the conservative inventions lowered pluralitly
The net effect of all Inventions of this tech is an increase in PLU.

looking at the game right now and it definitely lists authoritarianism, hierarchical order, traditionalism, political religion, and paternalism as -5% plu, not +5%. Besides, wouldn't a tech that eventually increased plu by 75% be.... unbalanced? not to mention unattractive for anyone trying to maintain an authoritarian regime.

It's base +500%, so it's actually 600%.
