I am a hardcore Korea player (as well as Castile/Spain) and I was wondering if any other Korean players had any tips/ideas on how they play? I'm of the belief the best strategy is obviously first downing the Manchu, Marry Oirat Horde (which, more than often means you PU with them due to Horde mechanics) then Blockade Warring/Vassalizing the japanese Islands (which leads into just outright beating their armies once you can), Exploration ideas, start colonizing Siberia, as quickly as possible getting to Russia to stop their expansion in the chockhold by Uzbek/Whatever Horde has that land, Expansion, more colonizing in SEA/Siberia Still, Economic Idea's, build cost modifier+inflation reduction due to the Gold Mines in Kai/whatever you get lucky with in Siberia (and later the gold minds in Swahili/East Africa), Plutocratic Ideas if you want religious/stability in general so that you don't get revolts and have to march from Kyoto to Horde lands to through massive attrition to stop them, Defensive if Russia is a threat, or if Ming kept stability and Zhou never broke off from them in Canton. After that you win the game. Stick a colony in Cape (if you were fast enough) next to Portugal, and then have fun Westernizing and tearing through the ENTIRETY of Asia, down into Idea, through Russia into the Commonwealth/Scandinavia. At this point you generally pick up whatever military idea you didn't take (Defensive/Plutocratic), Administrative Idea's if you are seriously considering finishing off India (-25% core cost, -10% inflation reduce cost, production efficiency if you need to colonize Australia/Have managed to cross the Pacific into the Americas, and then Trade Ideas if you Really wanna get crazy and move your capital out of Beijing (was it not clear it's 100% always smart to move your capital into beijing?), and somewhere else where you can use your 7+ merchants to pull trade all towards your capital (since asia north asia has terrible trade nodes that have awkward feeding, since the Phillipines cann't feed into Beijing, or even Canton.....). So what does everyone else do? Even little tips about a way to vassal someone would be helpful and interesting!

1. Pull Oirate in on Manchu. Use scorched earth + tactics to win the war and take enough provinces so that they can be vassaled in the followup war.
2. Break the truce and vassal them. Let rebels break your country to reset stab/WE, at the cost of massive prestige.

After this, you have a few options:

- If Ming isn't in temple faction, let Manchu recover and pull Oirate and if possible Tibet in on Ming, and feed Shun & friends up to the point where nobody east of Russia can challenge you.
- Hurry to block Muscovy north of Uzbek, making your life much easier. Do this regardless.
- Colonize. Chinese can vassal anybody in 1.5, which means you have one of the fastest roads to a colonial nation in the game: Korean Mexico. Also colonize into Siberia + Malacca. In fact, I'd open exploration --> expansion for just this purpose, though the relations from expansion will help also.

The 1.5 rules might make it so that you just want to feed Zhou up to an enormous size rather than taking on too many additional vassals. You can probably get away with something like feeding even colonies to them, though I haven't tested that yet. Eventually, if you annex Manchu/Xi then Shun, you'd still have enough oomph to pick up a super Zhou.
