Is is a thread where you can suggest improvements for expansions or, possibly, the sequel.

I have only one right now, but I think capitalists should be able to build and own factories in countries other than your own. Build in your SoI, but own anywheres.

Features that are Needed

To start, I think that V2 has been a stunning success. There are balance issues, but nothing that can't be adjusted in a patch. So, kudos to Paradox and even to the Blustering Scotsman. Nice work guys.

However, there are some things that need to be added

"Selling Provinces" There are some things that need to be added, whether via an actual ability to outright sell/buy provinces or just via decisions that trigger event chains. As a limit, you should only be able to sell states that are semi-colonial. No adjusting your borders, just buying islands and remote stuff.

I'm thinking of Alaska, Cuba, the Carib islands. Also northern Maine. Basically, the game needs a way to peacefully transfer provinces.

What other features are needed?

Hmm...

Code:
	alaskan_purchase = {
		potential = {
			war = no
			has_global_flag = american_civil_war_has_happened
			NOT = {
				has_country_flag = you_did_try
			}
			TAG = USA
			RUS = {
				OR = {
					owns = 1
					owns = 2
					owns = 3
					owns = 4
					owns = 5
					owns = 2599
					owns = 2630
					owns = 2631
				}
			}
		}

		allow = {
			prestige = 1
			nationalism_n_imperialism = 1
		}

		effect = {
			USA_1 = {
				add_core = USA
			}
			RUS = {
				country_event = 32509
			}
			set_country_flag = you_did_try
		}
		ai_will_do = {
			factor = 1
			modifier = {
				factor = 0
				has_country_flag = you_did_try
			}
		}
	}

Edit. My point: I think there is more important things to be modified / added before province selling and purchasing.
Edit2. Now my post looks stupid.

There is also the Gadsen purchase, and then the paying of reparations as the US did after illegally intervening in the Panamanian secession. (The Gadsen purchase was also partially to satisfy Mexican demands for damages following the disastrous war with the US but I doubt the engine is capable of supporting any "post-war" compromises)

You know, I don't think my post was an "idea for an expansion" since these are decision chains that should have been in the base game. What with them being historical and all.

Also: A "goto province/state" button on events would be nice.

Edit: The ability to click-and-drag to assign leaders on the military screen seems intuitive. I actually assumed it would work and was shocked when it didn't.
