[IDEA] New Sex and Procreation System

This seems like a lot of CPU cycles for little benefit.
Edit: I am told that opinion feeds into fertility. Of course, as with all the fertility traits, it does not seem to stop every queen popping out her statutory 5 kids. Except celibate, that will give you one. There is scope for improvement, but this method seems to give much busywork, for no real addition to gameplay.

Completely agree. Sex is probably best left as an abstraction. One small interesting change i can think of however, would be that couples need to be in the same location for pregnancy to fire (exempting infidelity of course). So if your king is campaigning constantly you might find it more difficult to get a large number of children.
I haven't been noticing them working, I guess my breeding program must work harder!
That will never be implemented. See marriages between two landed people.
I don't know why we just can't have a "have sex with wife" option. I'm really sick of ending up with 10 kids when I only want 2 or 3. Even a "stop having sex" option would be nice.

That's a thing? One thing to try for it, but I can with only great difficulty imagine having that particular "accident" quite THAT many times. First times awkward, second is ... strange, third is someone using needles on the condoms and switching the pills with placebos. It might be nice with a intrigue decision for "enact separate royal bedrooms" decree though ^^
Ah, forgot about that. Instead of being in the same location, then at least not actively participating in a war. I find it a bit strange when my king has been campaigning in Africa for months on end, and his wife becomes pregnant.
How about an event that fires if your character/spouse is Lustful, a hedonist, or have making a child as their ambition where your character tries to seduce your spouse or vice versa. Where attempt to charm and woo your spouse and invite them to your bedchamber. Obviously this isn't a silver bullet, but should give a temporary buff to fertility

It could be simulated with a crude 3D minigame which could muddle Paradox in various legal affairs! Actually, that won't be fun at all.
