Idea: Make Greek primary culture of Byzantium --> Cores never expire

If Byzantium ever seizes to exist, switch all cores to Greece and make them never expire.

This needs to be switched to Byzantium in order for them not to lose their cores. Quite annoying when a Byzantine player can lose his cores.

greece is afaik the primary nation of greek culture and therefore wont expire. I'd keep the 150 years waiting time so player has a chance to revive byz, Byz is fun even if you dont play it yourself

For them never to expire Byzantium has to be the primary nation of Greek culture, not the other way around. Greek already is the primary culture of Byzantium which means Greek cores get 150 years.

Agree w/ the rest of this thread that Greece should get permanent cores (on the Greek region) after Byzantium loses theirs. The emergence of Greek national identity is historically important, but Greek and Byzantine identity may have been too conflated in the early EU4 time period for coexistence to make sense.

Was just thinking that it doesn't make sense for an Empire to be 'revived' by being released as vassal/free-for-now country.

Yes I realized that I miswrote the title but I can't change it anymore.
Everyone (besides you?) seemed to have understood my point though, which is that Byznatium should never lose its Greek cores (or as Atris suggested once all of Byzantium has been destroyed all Byzantine cores should change to Greek cores)

No, no, I agree with Atris. I think it makes more sense for the Greek nation to be resurrected as 'Greece' than as 'Byzantium' after a couple centuries of subjugation by the Ottomans.
