There's a pretty big issue with the polish mission tree, and that is if you take the local noble and dont form commonwealth you cant do a lot of missions in the tree because they are locked behind forming Commonwealth. Maybe this is intentional but I think it's silly. A better way to do it would to allow the missions locked behind Commonwealth formation to also be unlocked once you complete Balance the Princely Estates or Our Place in the Sun. (Not sure which would be best). You would complete them by the time you would form Commonwealth normally so I think it would be a good way to give choosing the local noble access to the full polish/commonwealth missions. Is this a good idea?

I don't exactly know the details because I have never / seldom / long ago played as Poland, but you're right in that missions should take into account any reasonable path the player takes through events, etc. In the recent patches / DLCs they have implemented the ? thingy missions, in which you can choose to stay Catholic, switch to Protestant, etc., depending on the situation. I think Poland's mission tree should branch out, allowing a ? decision by the player regarding the Union with Lithuania. Perhaps you could propose how that branching mission could be implemented in more detail?

You already get a different mission branch when you choose the local noble. And choosing a local noble doesn't prevent you from forming the Commonwealth. But if you don't want to form the commonwealth, you can form something else which gives you new missions instead

So, plenty of options then! Thank you for bringing that info up! It has been incredibly enlightening. Cheers!

Yes, but the entire point of going with the local noble is to not form commonwealth. The local noble only adds 3 extra missions, strong ones that give you claims on all of germany but you still dont get the majority of the tree and miss out on a lot of flavor.
