The problem with revolts is that if they border a super power they will get annexed and there is nearly nothing you can do about it. So here is my idea: Give them an event upon being attacked, to ask for a white peace(or defeat, not sure) with his liege, no matter the other war participants and how well the war is faring, as that is most likely better sometimes than being holy warred by the Fatimids. The war with the foreign power would then end inconclusively.

Probably lots of other (bad) exploits with this system, so lets hear them, and other thoughts?

The only thing you can do about it is fight the units of the foreign power. This can be really hard since you probably lost half your manpower already. You can do this since you get a hostile status towards the other ruler. You can also barely win against your vassal and offer him a white peace. Like not a total victory.

I agree the vassal should be more likely to accept a white peace offer if he is being attacked on two fronts, unless he hate the other ruler less, than he hates you. If he seem to lose the other war he should immediately send you a white peace offer.

Whats worse? Living comfortably in a castle under the rule of a tyrant ruler or being landless and see everything you enjoyed in life getting turned into ruins, by a foreigner.
