Hello, I was wondering about if it's possible to add something like "surprise factor".
What i mean by that is after research for example tiger I and producing it, units that got such a unit/tank are getting bonuses for a limited period of time because enemy troops are simple unaware what are the weaknesses or strength of a new machine/equipment.
I'm sorry if there is such a thread allready, i placed it in a wrong place or for my bad english.

I think this point is pretty valid, i mean, give a small penalty to enemy troops is the way to go for that, and it is an accurate representation of a new machine entering the battlefield.

Not a bad idea at all, I'm just not sure how to implement it. There certainly were vehicles that were at their most effective in WWII until their enemies learned how to counter them. Over time you'll learn where a vehicle's weak spots are, its weaknesses in handling, etc. If new weapons are involved, you often need to develop countermeasures of some kind.

For example, I've read that when German rocket and jet fighters could be really hard to catch while in the air, which eventually led the Allies to focus on hitting them as they took off and landed.

I think the best way to implement this would be a small defensiveness bonus to the new vehicle.
