Not sure how many of my Personas from 900 til 1400 have researched and discovered that earth is Spherical and moves around the Sun...

From my point of view every of the results from your Dinasty or at least for every Reign should accumulate the knowledge your different personage are discovering.

Focus on War should allow create a war School, the Academy, develop bonuses for infantery, Cavalry, etc...
Faith should be able to get bonuses on your religion, or big catedrals (or similars), create your own religious Order, etc...

This way your Homestead could be enriched and allow to build on your capital province buildings that you may want to preserve and protect from enemy, or others to conquer them to steal knowledge... or just destroy them as heresy.

Im sure that every one of the focus can have along the years excellent evolutions and become a reason to develop, research, conquer or steal them, with historical background.

Focuses are quite personal and means in which manner a character is going to hold his office. It is his personal preference, not the administrative thing for the whole realm apart from stats bonuses. This observatory thing and researching the shape of the Earth is quite symbolic. According to your suggestions devs would have to implement much more events to the mechanics for the purpose of depicting +3 learning scholar bonus in a different way every time the focus is taken.
The most of your idea is connected to technology, I think. You must observe that the "homestead" is already, in ~95% cases the most developped county in you realm.

So, if technology could and should be improved? Yes. Does it have to be connected with focuses? Not necessarily.

Maybe in technology has its best example, but it can easily be expanded to War, family, faith, etc... Just making the right building types or scenarios for the others.

Administration, for example: why not get an Administration structure, slowly, improved heir by heir (of those that focus on it, reforming and evolving) so your advisors work better, you have easier administrsative problems, less corruption, higher tax rate, etc...

I understand that it would requiere like 10-15 different levels for each of the branch, with quite complex relations with the world (If I invade and conquer a country with some good advances, I assimilate some, destroy others, improve mines? What happen with oposite cultures - in religion, for example - in such cases (historically they are destroyed, supressed, persecuted, etc... and their buildings reformed or burnt) - but would I "adopt" some of its meanings? Would I get the full undestanding of the Art of War if I get the Academy of War of another nation, etc... Will my generals adquiere some special traits by studing in such academies? - Will my heir have a better education cause my family has been focusing in family for decades? Will other contries learn and use if they "conquer" me?

It would be a fantastic DLC for sure.
