I have an idea, partially coming out of some of the comments in the 'warez warz' topics. There are a large number of countries that will probably never see a release in their native language. What about people generating their own 'language conversion patches'. This would require that (a) it be technically feasible and (b) that Paragon be OK with it.
To be technically feasible, all of the text that appears in the game would have to be in editable text files rather than hard-coded into the executable. Is this the case?
If it is, even if one doesn't speak Swedish or German there are web sites where you can copy & paste in a passage from one language and have it translated to another. You could buy the Swedish or German version and create translated files.
If Paragon was OK with it, they could allow people to post their language conversion patches on this site. These patches would not contain graphics, executables, etc... so they would be no use to anybody who doesn't have the game.
It looks like this game came out in Sweden months & months ago. If I had known about it back then, I'd have been willing to undertake an English patch. Now, by the time I could get a Swedish or German version shipped here, I'll be able to buy the US version down at the local EB. This might be a valuable option for people whose languages are a small market, though.
