Ok , so weather mode tells me if its snowing, raining or stormy. But how can I tell wether a province is "Icy"? The AI seems to know, but sure as hell I can't. Am I missing something obvious?

LewsTherin said:I agree that mud was a huge problem in real life, but there is no connection between muddy ground conditions and the weather in a particular territory. It is solely dependent on the time of year. The change occurs at the beginning of a new month. This same is true for icy conditions. If it hasn't rained or snowed for a month, how can it all of a sudden become muddy or icy?![]()

The Germans knew that it gets cold and muddy in Russia. They still got into trouble. IRL weather is fickle and it's not so easy to get it right. The Germans thought that the bad weather meant that there was no way that the Allies would be landing on 6 June. That's why Rommel went home for his wife's birthday. But there was a break in the weather on that day which meant that the landings went ok. But there was a storm 3 weeks later which caused chaos and destroyed a Mulberry.Jagdmaus said:But still, if there's going to be a significant penalty like that - which would certainly be something you could easily know IRL - the game should give you some way of knowing what you're getting into.
