Hi.

Now, I was wondering about this the other day. I know that you can play minor nations with some minor tweaking, but what if the nation is occupied? Like, Iceland was under Danish control in 1492, can I change that with some equally minor tweaking and make it an independant country with an army etc? This would be highly inaccurate historically, of course, but I thought it might be interesting trying to colonize 'Vinland' again :)

And of course, see if it's at all possible to defend the island from foreign (Danish? Scottish? English? Swedish?) forces...

dunno. Iceland would be fun to play though...but i doubt if it would have enough resources to make you any sort of profit, and it is a SMALL nation, so you wont get that much tax generated...i think it would function better as a 'coaling station'

Rebellions can 'create/recreate nations that didn't exist in the beginning of the scenario. However, I have never seen Iceland becoming a new nation. Actually I think she has got a too small population to be competetive during the epoch.

However, she always has a very prominent place in my Swedish or Danish Empire. :)

No it is very easy takes me 30-40 seconds. It hangs on the computer speed more than on mine. Actually the word 'hacking' is wrong it sounds like this changing the game file would be something advanced it is not.
