Just wondering, but I have played Castile a few times in the past and have always got the Iberian wedding event to fire. I am currently playing my 3rd try as Castile with no luck of getting the Iberian Wedding event to fire. I even received the Burgundian Inheritance event on my second try. Has something changed with the Iberian Wedding chance of occurring?

It’s still the same. You need to have an opposite sex Ruler than Aragon. You’ve got until 1530 for it to trigger. Just let the dice roll and hopefully it goes your way

You can disinherit until the get the correct gender heir, so it shouldn't be too hard to get..

So I did try to disinherit, but it is saying that I will become the junior partner in the union, because I have less prestige. (Because disinheriting cost prestige) So will the Iberian wedding event still fire with Castile being the lead in the union or will I now be the junior partner in the union?

Castille is always the senior from the event. When it says you would be the junior, that is in regards to a standard PU.
So long as your ruler is the opposite sex as theirs and you don’t die, you should be fine.

The AI cannot get the Iberian wedding on the player.
When playing as either Castille or Aragon, you will always be the senior partner when the IW fires.
So Aragon can be senior partner just as well, as long as it is player controlled.

I have no idea though if Aragon has any chance of becoming senior partner when both countries are AI controlled.
