Hello,
I noticed that the Soviet AI, when the player is Japan, strengthens inordinately Sakhalin Island where it concentrated between 18 to 32 divisions.

I find it normal that it can strengthen its border of Manchukuo but spend almost a quarter of his troops instead of putting it in europe, it's a little weird.
I suggest to remove the Strait from the island to Siberia.

Actually, to make it harder for a Japanese player (especially in SP) and to avoid the lack of defense of the home island, it might be a good idea to add a strait from Sakhalin to Hokkaido. But it might also be difficult for the social AI if Japan use it to encircle Outer Manchuria.
It might also be fun in MP.

Might be worth investigating with mods...
