Our Vbul is heavily modded and our DBs linked so ... No.
Technically yes, but because of that, our policy is no, except in very extreme situations.

Bumping this for a related question -- I'm getting back into these kinda games now but, it seems for the newer games I'll have to register them with my forum account to access patches and such. I really, really hate this name since I haven't used it in many years and it has an underscore (didn't know I didn't need it, when I registered...), but apparently it has access to some forums by virtue of being old enough, so I don't wanna just ditch it.

Would registering newer games to this name have any consequences beyond the forum itself, e.g. with multiplayer nicks or anything like that? If I do register them to this one, and if the new forum software eventually does allow for changes, is there any chance that having games registered would make that harder?

The answer is yes and no, You have no games registered, so creating a new account and registering your games there means you are starting over in terms of post count and registration date ... We are keeping these stats for the new forum. If you had games registered to the existing account then you would lose access to those on the forum since your old account gets banned, ie report what you did and ask for the old account be banned since if we find you have more than one account we ban them all as it violates our terms of service.

You cannot create a new forum account directly any more, you can only do so by starting a Paradox account and then joining the forum with that, the new forum will from a user perspective no longer even have a separate forum account from your Paradox account. (Maintaining the legacy system in conjunction with the new one is what is causing so many issues with registration and e-mail confirmations ...

As for consequences outside the forum, once the new forum is up your forum name will be used for some other services we will be offering, but would not effect any currently released games, nor announced PDS games.
