I would really appreciate some help(Another DH Win. 8 problem)

After having given up on DH working for Win. 8 long ago, I decided on a whim that I would try again. It actually works now! But now I have an incredibly strange problem where every time I look at East Africa or South America, the game crashes. I fly around all over the map no problem. It just these two areas. Do any of you have any idea what it could be?

I`m not having that problem ! Uninstall the game and install it again and see what happens !

im also running windows 8 and can confirm i do not have have the same issue, in fact i have never had any problems running darkest hour with windows 8 id suggest reinstalling, try changing your resolution.

After Gamersgate finally resolved its little DL issue, I re-installed the game. The problem still occurs. I guess I forgot to mention that I have been forced to use this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYsjODkLfyc fix. My native is 1360X768 and so I chose 1350X730. Do you think that my resolution is causing the problem here?

Do you think that my resolution is causing the problem here?

Yes the resolution is the problem ! Try 1280x720 or 728 . Or try your native resolution

The fix I had to use to even get the game to not immediately crash to desktop requires I play in windowed mode. I also cannot have it take up my entire screen, thus I can't use my native. But, never-the-less, I tried 1280x720. It did not work. Every time I look at East Africa the game crashes. It also crashes when I look at South America.

What mod are you using ? That might cause the trouble !

I'm not using any mods, just vanilla 1.03
