If the Nordic countries are focused separately on different dlcs, then there is no possibility to introduce the WWII with historical accuracy, at least for a long time.The events and the Norwegian and the Swedish decisions largely affected the format of how the WWII was fought in Scandinavia and between Finland and the Soviet Union.

During the Winter War, Finland requested Swedish intervention for several times. Sweden chose, perhaps wisely, to remain as a non-belligerent and the relief and aid for Finland stayed as moderate. After the war both countries discussed about a state union, but this idea was abandoned due to the Soviet demand. Again in 1941 the Swedish neutrality was tested during the midsommarkrisen. By choosing otherwise than historically, Sweden propably would had entered in the war.

The German occupation of Norway is a primary reason for how the Continuation War was fought and how it happened. Without the German occupation Finland wouldn’t had been affected by the German influence, at least not so much. The Soviet claims and demands would had been carried on and the Soviet influence on Finland would had remained, the Soviet Union probably launching a second invasion attempt. Sweden and Norway now could have joined the war as experiencing their independence more threathened than in 1939-1940. Another thing is, if the Allies occupied Norway and/or Sweden, how would the Soviet Union then react.

Since we're talking about Scandinavia, here's my wishlist of speeches and songs for Norway when the time comes:

• Til ungdommen (To the Youth), 1936, an anti-war song, and in some ways almost a second Norwegian national anthem
• Du må ikke sove (Dare not to sleep), 1937, a very powerful poem/speech from 1937 on standing idly by in the face of rising facism
• 17 mai 1940 (We shall come again), 1940, a poignant poem/speech about resillience in the face of Nazi invasion
• Look to Norway, 1942, the speech Roosevelt made during the handover ceremony of a new Norwegian warship

Since the poems of Dare not to slumber and We shall come again are so iconic, I think it makes a lot of sense to add them to the game alongside political speeches.
If songs with lyrics doesn't fit the game's existing soundtrack, To the Youth could perhaps be implemented as an instrumental, or the melody could as the base for a new song. It really is a song near and dear to many Norwegians, and it fits the WWII era very well.

Wow! That is some powerful stuff. The first two are written so early, it reminds me that many could already see the threat arising in Europe.

Due to the time passes so are most ww2 songs no longer copyrighted, the main exception are Russian ww2 songs are copyrighted in USA as they were given copyright after the cold war. It's a bit sad as there are several classic Russian ww2 songs. Wich is why the english version of this anime sounds a bit lame by comparison:
