I wish there was a less intrusive way to handle anomalies

I really love anomalies, but I do find that they generally interrupt the flow of play quite dramatically.

Popups will happen right when you're in the middle of something and if you have 6-7 Science Ships, they are popping up often.

At the same time, I often end up with plenty of time where I'm just kinda sat not really doing anything.

It'd be nice if there was an "anomaly" feed or something, where you could visibly see anomalies appearing in various places on the map, and you could choose to research them immediately or not, and then once they were researched, there'd be an icon to resolve them, rather than everything being in popups.

I think it'd be a pretty serious rework, so I'm not sure it'll happen, but I wonder if anyone else feels similarly?

I usually have 5 or more science ships out in the early game so I know what you mean about pop-ups. I spread it out a bit by not researching every anomaly I find, just the easier challenge levels, because in the early game I'm trying to map out the immediate area around my starting point, not just scooping up anomaly bonuses.

When I start to get idle science ships because they've reached the end of a hyperspace constellation or are border-blocked, I click on a science ship and that adds the little blue microscope icon on the galaxy map for bypassed anomalies. I almost never use the anomalies tab on the Situation Log because they're all shown on the galaxy map by clicking on a science ship. I just wish the icons were larger and easier to see, like the big orange brackets for a research project.

I’ve starred to ignore anomalies with my explorer ships as they just slow them down. I want to find out what’s out there and where I should expand as soon as I can.
And then have one or two science ships later on following up researching the anomalies. Especially if you can get an scientist with anomaly special.
