I wanted to share this bug I have never seen before in 2500+ hours of play.

So im playing the British Empire Achievement run and chose to go A- historical.

Games been incredibly weird so far but all is well.

Brief history.

I focused on America in the beginning and left Europe to its own devices.

The Balkan Entente formed and they were able to hold off Germany AND a communist France.

having never seen a successful Balkan Entente actually hold off early Germany let alone France, I wanted to help them win the war in any way I could. plus if I wanted to save one faction for last to take out for the achievement I thought it might be fun to leave them, especially with Yugoslavia going the route where they split up.

so i send volunteers until suddenly Russia decides Poland has been around long enough.

Russia swarms in and takes out Poland and all the Balkan states. leaving Turkey, Denmark Belgium and the Netherlands holding off France and Germany. as the Russians push into the Germans territory.

Italy my "ally" decide to justify on my new Balkan buddies.

so I kick them and justify war and they join the axis. traitors.

so im into the war.

I push out all of Italy and push the Russians all the way out eventually ending the war, after a quick stint in South America where Paraguay joined and was considered a major lol.

now here's where the weird part comes in.

so we peace out, and we divvy the spoils between the Allies and the Balkan entente. Weirdly I still hold all of the Balkans and Poland under occupation. That's when I realize we are still at war with Japans faction.

so we go and take them out and peace conference ensues that freezes for a good 10 minutes on finish and this is what im left with.

so you can see the world is odd as you expect. after the Japanese peace conference ended all of the Balkan entente territories were given back to them.

only problem is the game is very confused on who actually controls the territory.

I can build anything, I get access to everything as if im still occupying.

I can even remove buildings.
theirs two state owners? lmfao?

im going to make a bug report in the morning, but this is about to be a wierd game to finish lmfao.

I didn't check this the other night as i hadn't thought too, but apparently they all have 0 factories. Lmfao what a weird bug.

Yeah the game thinks you occupy that land still.
When this happens to me I wait for their collaboration events and just release them so I can then integrate via the puppet system which fixes it

so i waited a while as you will be able to see from screenshots.

but nothing happened.

so seeing this i decided to just continue on playing.

so i began prepping for the war in china. i shifted my armies over.

i noticed at this point that the balken entente was still at war with what remained of the axis that i wasnt at war with when the original war ended. this included nationalist spain, and india. belgium had taken all of spain at this point and the entire entente was focused on invading india.

to help them out i decide to declare war on india as i want to fight the entente last as a challenge to end the british empire achievement run, instead of just walking over a bunch of small south american countries to get a world conquest, because i feel that would be really boring.

so i take out india and peace conference happens.

afterwards i see that i have less factories and am now no longer occupying any of the territories, i guess the bug fixed itself?

i am really confused as to what's going on here.
