  • Crusader Kings II
Crusader Kings 2 is the Japanese version of version 1.05
And, you can not use Expansion and DLC.
So, I want to be able to in the Japanese version of steam.
Please tell me the other way or MOD.

Japanese I would be garbled.
So, I want to change the font.

I hope for many fans of Japan Crusader Kings.
Please help us.

I am afraid that there is no way to use DLCs on the Japanese version of CK2, since they use different .exe file.
On the other hand, I don't think CF doesn't release a DLC pack with upcoming Rome DLC in some point in the future.

I think the English/French/German/Spanish release of CK2 only supports a Latin encoding, not Unicode or Shift-JIS or other encodings friendly to kana/kanji, so a font change wouldn't help you much. If you don't mind the text being in romaji, you could take the event text etc. (hopefully also in localisation files, making them easy to find) from the Japanese release, transliterate to romaji and plug it into the Paradox release localisation files, leaving only localisation files changed in 1.06 and any mods you wish to use needing additional translation.

I assume you mean the fonts drawn on the game map? There is a way. The font is a single image file, with all of the letters and punctuation drawn in. Now you could change that font, re paint the letters into kanji pictograms, but it would be very very difficult to pull off. (making the image file would be easy, but very hard to implement, and you would only be able to have 50 or maybe 60 characters, then the hard part would be coding in your new names in Kanji, as you would have to . . . actually nah, it's unpossible.
