I was in the process of typing that you could have a textures and strings only DLC that changed the Japanese tanks and planes into robots.

Halfway through, I remember the emphasis on 3D models in HOI4. So I guess it'd be a bigger undertaking than I first envisioned .

What's the research penalty for a 2100 tech? Of course, if the game is allowed to run until then, I see no reason why giant stompy robots and alien technologies shouldn't be available tech choices. I'm sure the developers wouldn't mind including all of the graphics and other changes necessary.
