You know, i have nothing against aliens, you know? Going out, and getting drunk with some big fungus is just, kinda, fun you know? In the end they´re just people, yes their drinks suck, they look kinda weird, and honestly are kinda weird, but in the end they´re just people. And you know, i also have nothing against them being the majority somewhere, it´s really cool somewhere in the outback, well, as long as there is enough terran beer, i even wouldn´t care if Vegeria would be mostly space foxes or whatever. But earth? Earth is still our planet, earth is where the first human realized that throwing a rock against a deer might be a good idea, and honestly, i never could imagine not it being mostly humans here, it´d just feel weird, just unnatural, you know?

lots of stuff for xenophiles aswell.

I guess... but it actually looks more like some existing fun stuff will just be exclusive to xenophiles. Alien leadership for instance will require xenophilia and they'll be able to allow full citizenship for any species, which is interesting but will be more so when I better understand the circumstances in which non-xenophiles non-xenophobes can allow full citizenship.

Maybe I missed something though. Gotta be honest with you, while I've played both, these patch notes have been making me a lot more excited to play Xenophobe than Xenophile.

Wiz just tweeted a thing where a planet of liberated slaves was getting a 10% happiness bonus for 800 days or something. Xenophiles will benefit from higher quality xenophobes, and more incentives to do liberation wars and abolitionist crusades... :^)

In my first game, as the UNE, I allowed everyone to migrate to my planets. Everything looked fine until I noticed that as soon as I colonized a new world billions of aliens would come and starve because, obviously, I was still building the first farm. And some of the aliens were complaining that their neighbours were repugnant or they were xenophobes and so on.

Next time I play as xenophiles I'll try to keep troublemakers away. 1.5 seems to offer many options that will be helpful, like choosing different options for each species. However, my citizens will probably complain that I'm not allowing the troublemakers in...

I was playing as the united earth, trying to make a startrek like federation, and I was expanding and met four or five different civilizations, that agreed to federate with me, I signed migration treaties, was having a blast, but then later into the game I looked at my ethnic demographics and humans where a minority, in the UNITED EARTH civilization.
It's United EARTH, not United HUMANS.

That kinda struck a cord with me. I mean I want to be open and liberal, and inviting and allow other races to settle in my lands and work together in harmony....But by the same token, earth for the earthlings lol.
All citizens of Earth are Earthlings!

I think you need to voluntarily reacquaint yourself with United Earth's propa- I mean, educational broadcasts about multiculturalism.

If only you were playing Utopia, you'd be able to elect a reactionary maniac (or some random guy you've decided to roleplay as a reactionary maniac) and start instituting policies that make non-humans into second-class citizens unfit for your core worlds.

The thing for me and my main empire, is that my people, Long lived, super strong, dragon men, are usually just flat out better than every race i conquer. So although I"m an egalitarian, i don't allow other races to be leaders. I also don't let them colonize worlds if my race makes up less than 1/4 of my empires population. The Netraxi Regime, must stay the NETRAXI Regime. Once I get enough life extending tech, I let them become leaders, or at least I did. With the banks update making my entire main species Psionic and giving mad benefits, I can't actually think of a reason to ever let them be leaders or colonize to much. They will still get mostly equal rights and the Utopian living standards that come with being egalitarian though. Honestly, when one race actually IS better than another, in every way that counts, them getting to colonize more and lead just seems to make sense, no matter how bigoted that sounds. I feel like that's still part of the egalitarian mindset, because these species aren't in fact equal.

You are certainly not xenophile, no matter what claims of egelitarianism you make. Anyway I seriously doubt that you have never met species that can't match the longevity of your primary one with some equally valuable bonus and other species will be able to enjoy the benefits of your psionic ascendance as well in Utopia.

Long Lived, Super Strong means that your main race is neither intelligent, nor thrifty.

My limp-wristed, five pound onion heads are the far superior race. For we have overcome the need for strength, both in arms and in industry, and you will discover our robot thralls meet your boasted of strength immediately and surpass it eventually. And while you may speak longingly of the benefits you find in madness, when we cast aside our cabbage leaf exteriors in place of a metallic existence, you'll discover we are not only stronger, faster, smarter, but also that we live longer.

The Netraxi may be allowed a place in the Iron Cabbage Dominion... if we need domestics to clean our exhaust and have not found anyone prettier by then.

if your main group of citizens is slow breeding and allowed to leave their homes, while you still allow others to immigrate and literally outbang your natives, you will become a minority, it is simple math

you have only a couple of ways to solve this: make your people breed faster, make migration illegal or purge

since #1 and #3 are more of a task, your safest bet is #2, otherwise you're screwed :D

Quite simply, yes, you are a 'bigot' of sorts. You had a gut xenophobic reaction. That does not make you extraordinary, though - everyone has such reactions. Even the most enlightened people on Earth have visceral reactions of 'other' against *other humans* (whether it be against certain religions, cultures, 'races', etc.). I'm not a big fan of Scientologists, for example. It is not weird at all that you would have a reaction against a squid-person moving in next door.

If we ever do encounter other aliens, the odds that they will be 'cute' and ET-like are very, very slim. The odds that we will find them viscerally repugnant and have to get used to the idea of someone radically weird and radically different are much higher. After all, outside of mammals and some birds, we don't mostly find the creatures on our own planet really that attractive. An entirely different evolution would be foreign and instinctually creep one out.

I've noticed from 1.2 to 1.4, we are slowly given little to no choice but to have multicultural society in the game as we expand our empire..... I think it's bollocks. Bring back purge tolerance for xenophobes, instead of forcing xenophobes to have multicultural society and tolerance for slavery. We should be allowed to purge people without our own people hating.

But the solution to your problem is just purge them. Kill them all.
