Seriously, I think a "Ethnic Cleansning" button would be nice. It certainly would help if you want to make the Protestants a major religion in a province.

I don't want to relive my family's tragedy!

My ancestors suffered and died under the guillotine in 1794. It is gruesome and terrible. My surviving family had to seek asylum in Germany.

I think the mechanization of execution is a terrible show of putting human rationale to ill use.

In a WWII game I don't want gas chambers either, although I hereby attempt no comparison. Both would be out of place.

Yes, it is terrible. But having a 75k pop province rebel, with 50-100k armies, that is bweyond annoying. The ability to eliminate it, even if it costs you a massive hit in stab, $ whatever, is a very good option. If you don't like the idea, then do not use it. BUT, it need be incorporated first, before cries of"Horror! Horror!" ring throughout these forums.

Seriously though, it is a helluva lot better to be able to get rid of at least tax collecters(i do not need +3 revolt in a muslim province, when i have to have muslim as low as possible so i can not have revolts in my other provinces) as they are so completely worthless. Die naughty Tax Collectors! Die and rot in Hell! :p :D :)

Like it or not, genocide was a part of the time period, and played a key role in the time period. Just as slavery was an option, so should genocide.

I agree, but you should not be able to choose how they should die.
No guillotine, only army marching in doing what they do best.

I really don't understand the concerns of Clemens A. about this guillotine thing. Don't you use another tool to kill thousands of people anyway? I mean the armies, you wipe out (if you can :D) other armies with them and also sometimes your are commited to use armies to reduce a city to rumble to teach them the true faith.
Of course nobody realize what we are doing during the game. But then the game finish (or you save it because it's 4 in the morning :D ) and I don't know you, but I sometimes think about what you are able to decide when blinded by the powermongering disease. It's not only that I don't see this is bad, but really good, you know? how would you realize otherwise about these kind of historical events? Dunno, for my eclectic mind this is something remarkable.
