Oh, sim earth, this brings back memories. Always wondered why there never was a sequel. Same goes for sim ant!
Not to forget the original sim farm!
I came across "Species". Im currently watching videos to be sure it is a strong evolution game.

SimTower, SimFarm, SimCity, The Sims, and SimEarth were among the Maxis games I played. I loved the concepts behind each of these games. Pity that three of them didn't get much traction beyond. Only SimTower got its sequel which was YootTower. SimCity and The Sims obviously did got their sequels.
I'd like to see more building/business/management simulations that SimCity, SimFarm and SimTower exemplified. SimEarth, though, would work for me, too. It seem to be an interesting concept.
I want a new Sim Ant game, only in PDS style grand Strat.![]()
The great ant v spider war!
I'm agree about potential but there is long way, I believe. In my game it was several boring species, almost same. They even mated each other in the end, if I remember correctly. Small map, no terraforming tools, no proper tools to watch population. So much potential really omg its amazing!
Hmm in this 0.9 version it doesnt happened, I could quite a lot of species at the same time and many others extinct.I'm agree about potential but there is long way, I believe. I would like to see spiritual successor to SimFarm be made. I liked some aspects of SimFarm like a town's relationship with your farm, finance you have to keep track of for your farm, so on. I think it's a classic but it could be expanded on more in future.
Again, I've said I would also like to see a spiritual successor to SimEarth be made.
Same goes for SimTower, too, but it's already being made, by same developer who brought 1849 to Steam and will be published by same publisher behind latest Tropico games.![]()
I do so remember those days, remember "Sim Tower" and "Sim Copter", the old days are gone now.
Or Sim Life. Or Sim Isle. Or Sim Ant......
So many childhood hours. Please make new versions someone!
Sim Ant was an awesome game and yeah I hopped Spore was going to be an update of Sim Earth -what a let down
I would eagerly buy a proper Sim Earth game or an updated Sim Ant for that matter.
Me too.
Why haven't anyone done this?
I hadn't got as far as your post before I thought of Spore. I think that was the last game I bought myself from that company. They promised so much and delivered (expletive deleted).Yes, Sim Ant was awesome and don`t get me started on Spore, please don`t.

I feel like a black sheep with Spore.
I liked it a lot.
But I never saw one iota of promises or marketing, I found out about the game after it was released, and had a lot of fun. I did not know any promises that were made.
Maybe the marketing and too open with the public ruined the game, so when people went in and hopes crushed, it ruined it?
