So their I was as consul preaching peace to the world, generously giving lots of gold to anyone who wanted it. Then the next thing I know I get assassinated. Some gaul tribe. Anyways they kept trying to kill my people. My question is why do you not get a Cacas Belli when one of your leaders gets assassinated and you know who it was?

Yes, Im wondering about the same thing. They kill my man and all they get is a bit of reputation. However if I decide to kill their asassin if he was caught, they get a CB on me. Thats a bit weird to say at least.
So thats how I get CB's - kill one of their guys until my asassin gets discovered and decapitated. Should be the other way round, imho.

Actually, in Latin, "cacas" means 'you shit' .

Sadly, I don't think that means you can correctly translate 'cacas belli' as "You shit of war", but almost!
