Made another discovery. Really sadistic discovery. Note that this requires your religious head to be your vassal so you can excommunicate at will. Here goes:

Turns out if you use the character search panel and select for unmarried unlanded men and then organize by age (old men tend to have more $$) you can hunt for wealthy old men by looking at each man's portrait. You can then try to have your daughter matrilineally marry them. Religious military orders, celibate, or council members won't marry, but if you go down the list you'll still find dozens of people with 1000+ gold who will. It's time consuming, but if you desperately need money for a war, or want to build that university or new holding, it's well worth the time.

With the ones who don't have any living family members, you can marry them to your daughter, bribe them to convert them to your religion, and then excommunicate them. Next you imprison them, followed by simply executing them without any opinion penalty, not even with your daughter. And then you can rinse and repeat the process with the same daughter. There is a small risk that they might escape to another court if you try to imprison them, but since they're old they will die soon and your daughter will be free to entrap another guy.

I used my daughter to entrap 6 old men, collecting over 6K. She is just 17 and she's been a widow 5 times. The primary cost you pay is in piety for the excommunication. If the victim has living family, then you must banish them instead of executing them, otherwise the gold will go to his next of kin. The main problem with this is that they remain married to your daughter. But since they're old, they will die soon. Still, leave the ones with living family members last and only if they have a lot of money.

Now doesn't that sound like a psychopath's manual?

Oh, and check to see who the next pope is expected to be. There's a good chance he's unmarried with a lot of money. The guy had almost 3K. He had family though, so sadly I had to banish him instead of executing. But I'm about to take over the court he fled to so I should be able to execute him then. Then my daughter can help me kill again.

Yes, I know, this is really f*cked up but this is what this game does to you.

I'd been using a similar abuse of religious head to redistribute territory at will. I was doing an HRE WC which meant a lot of fresh land, but I wanted to preserve cultures. So when a german got power in new territories I'd excommunicate and strip their titles. Also did it to my rivals because why not?

When the pope is your vassal you can easily get money from him with the same piety cost, I think. He just dislikes you but as you vassal he still doing it. And Popes die also very often and tent do die very often because of strange circumstances. In my latest game the pope had sometimes 16k gold. After a short while I have 16k gold ;)

Now why would one spoil his daughter and waste piety like this when you can just invite the rich buddies to you court and let them die there?

Yeah I do this too. But typically they won't come from a simply invite, even after gifting. Too many negative modifiers.

By the way I'm pretty sure my daughter is still a virgin. I know in medieval society you generally have to consumate a marriage for it to be real, but considering that I usually banish or execute her husband on the very day he arrives in my court, I think that unlikely. Also, as a loving father, you can't expect me to allow landless old geezer I'm about to execute to touch a hair of my daughter, would you?
