Dozens of hours of work on a scenario, get ready to start beta testing, and a new patch comes out that makes me start over. Dozens of hours reworking the scenario, start beta testing, and a new patch comes out that makes me start over. Several hours reworking the scenario, get ready to run my first test, the scenario loads, and at the end of the first day BOOM ... CTD. Start the program back up, load the scenario, and at the end of the first day BOOM ... CTD.
Why? How chase it down? I have not created any units, no wars, alliances, leaders, ministers, convoys, ANYTHING that uses id's, so I have not created any id conflict situations. At least half the events in the friggin game start on January 1, 1936 so I have no way of knowing what might be responsible. How to troubleshoot? With no guidance on that and the prospect of hours of disabling this and starting up and BOOM CTD, then disable that and start up and BOOM CTD, then disable something else and start up and BOOM CTD.....
I just don't have the heart for it anymore.
Well, MOO 3 comes out next week. I hear it is supposed to be very stable.
