I don't want to post this as a bug report as it isn't really a bug, but it is pretty silly..
So in 1.5 the AI seems to be more aggressive about raiding resource stations, which is great, but leads to a small problem in the very early game. Because basic defence stations are no longer locked behind tech, you can build one within range of your starting spaceport and, provided there are no easier targets, the AI will repeatedly send raiding fleets to your home system and get destroyed, losing warscore in the process. After doing this a few times, they'll eventually give up which allows you to seize their planets (and more importantly, their pops). While it slows down your expansion a bit (since you can't build anything outside your home system until the initial war - or wars, there's no reason why you can't do this to multiple AI empires simultaneously - are over) the result is a massive and pretty game breaking boost.
In short, it's great that the AI is more aggressive, but it probably should be avoiding systems in which there is overwhelming force (like a spaceport with several times the power of its early-game fleet).
