Just throwing this out there for other people that are having performance issues. When I first started playing the game ran very slow and most of the mouse over tool-tips would either not load at all or would pop up a black box on mouse over. I disabled my second graphics card and the game is running much smoother and the mouse-overs 99% of the time popup properly and at a reasonable speed.
I suspect there are problems with useing AMD crossfire

I was wondering this last night as the tooltips were working poorly for me (and I am also in crossfire). I'll turn that off tonight as I am pretty sure it is not needed (even if I am running 2560x1440)
I too have had the same mouse over issue though as of yet I have had no issues with slowness. I'll try disabling Crossfire on my 2x R290's when I get home to see if that resolves my mouse overs not popping up correctly. The lack of proper pop-ups makes gameplay somewhat challenging.
I noticed that even with Crossfire disabled the tooltips are still a bit wonky in that they don't always show up right away and sometimes you have to move the mouse cursor back and forth until it finally appears. Pain in the butt.
